    • What exactly is a CAI?

A CAI is a Certified Academic Institution. Schools, Educational Organizations, and Training Centers that have a CAI status are endorsed and authorized to offer courses and programs on behalf of the commissioning group. In the case of The National Pastoral Counselors Training Center, the NCCA recognizes us as such. We offer the same courses and programs for the same cost and provide Clinical Supervision by an NCCA Licensed Clinical Supervisor.

    • What does it cost to become a Licensed Counselor with the NCCA?

The cost to receive a Certification, License or Degree through one of our programs is literally a fraction of what a traditional program would cost. The best part of all is that our programs are all “pay-as-you-go”. A program guide can be emailed to you upon request.

    • Will my degree come from an accredited College / University?

Yes. The accreditation of the NCCA and the college, seminary or university you select is accredited by one or more religious accrediting agencies of good reputation.

    • Can I be licensed as a Christian (Faith-based) counselor without having a B.A. degree?

No, you can only be certified. However, we can help you qualify for your B.A., M.A. and/or your Ph.D. through one of the several colleges that have partnered with the N.C.C.A.

    • Can I accept remuneration for counseling?

If you are an ordained, licensed or commissioned minister, you probably can accept remuneration for counseling since most states exempt clergy from having to be state licensed. However, you need to check your state’s statutes. The N.C.C.A.’s license is national, not state and, like ordination, it is a “Sacred” office.

    • Will I be trained to help those who are hurting?

Yes, research shows that persons who are trained by the N.C.C.A.  or one of their CAI’s are usually able to help more than 90% of those who turn to them for counsel. This, of course, depends on each individual’s God-given talent.

    • Do I have to be state licensed in order to counsel?

You need to decide if you want to be in the “business” of counseling or in the “ministry” of counseling. If “ministry,” then the N.C.C.A.’s licensing program will better suit your goals to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and fulfill His call on your life.

    • Is the training biblically sound?

Yes. NPCTC and The N.C.C.A. are totally devoted to the Lord and our training is all biblically-based.

    • How much does it cost to become a Christian Counselor?

Degree and certification programs at NPCTC are very affordable. The Creation Therapy course by itself is enough to help many who are already in the ministry, and it is only $295. Successful completion provides you with a powerful tool to help others and an experience students describe as a "blessing."

A Master's degree can be earned for about $6,000 and completed in 1-2 years. A PhD is in the $7,000 range. NCCA certification and licensing is a bit under $4,000.

All of our programs are pay-as-you-go. You only pay for courses as you take them.

    • Our Church Covering

NPCTC is a ministry, not a business.

The National Pastoral Counselors Training Center is a Certified Academic Institution for the NCCA, and operates as a ministry of the Robertsdale P.H. Church – also known as Impact Ministries. Dr. White is an Ordained Minister/Pastor with the International P.H. Church and has also been commissioned as a Minister of Counseling.

Dr. White is a Licensed Clinical Supervisor for the NCCA, and as such, provides Clinical Supervision to students of the NCCA. The National Pastoral Counselors Training Center (NPCTC) is a CAI (Certified Academic Institution) for the NCCA. All programs offered through NCPTC are NCCA programs. To be clear, what we offer is Clinical Supervision for all NCCA programs. Most of the programs offered by the NCCA require Clinical Supervision. Dr. White is able to provide this service so that students may enroll and progress through any of the educational paths offered through the NCCA and a number of Christian Colleges / Universities that are associated with them.

Our mission is to provide, what we believe to be the best, Christian & Pastoral Counseling Training available!

    • Once credentialed by the N.C.C.A., will I qualify for professional malpractice/liability insurance?
